Easter Decorations Idea: Adorable Peeps Centerpiece

Contributed by Alexis from We Like to Learn As We Go

Hello everyone here at Sparkles and a Stove!  I look forward to getting to know you all better each month as I contribute a crafty post.  And thanks so much to Kathy for letting me post on her blog!  This is such a fun experience for me!

My first craft that I have to share with you this month is a perfect centerpiece or Spring or Easter decorations idea.

A Peeps and Jelly Bean Easter Vase!

My mom and I came up with this idea as we searched Pinterest for some fun Easter decoration ideas and compiled our favorite designs. It’s the perfect way to add some color and fun to your place!

Easter Decoration Vase

Cute right?  It started out pretty easy to assemble until the jelly beans snuck under the Styrofoam blocks we put in the middle of the vase when we were putting the flowers in the top.  Pushing the flowers in the block made it lift and then you could see the foam which was not ideal.  So we had to start over.  So it took a little longer than expected, but if you do it right the first time, you’ll be good to go!

Here’s what you need:

Jellybeans (we tookout the black ones)

Bunny Peeps

Styrofoam blocks

Fake flowers (we used white, pink, purple, and yellow)

Vase Skewers

All you have to do is put the Styrofoam blocks in the middle of the vase first, then arrange the flowers how you want them by poking them into the top block (then you won’t have to start over like we did).  Then put the jellybeans around the Styrofoam so you can’t see it on the outside.  Then place the peeps on the jellybeans so they make a full circle around the vase.  And finally place a few peeps on skewers and place them throughout the flower arrangement.  And you’re done!  So easy and super cute Easter decorations idea!
